Much less awkward than the Sound Preferences in 2.22.

Is “sounds when buttons are pressed” plus “system beep sound” the total of “system sounds”? If so, then “Play system sounds” doesn’t really need a checkbox of its own, does it? Unchecking two checkboxes isn’t so strenuous that you need a whole extra checkbox to override them both. And getting rid of that checkbox would let you avoid using the word “system” entirely.

Also, how should someone tell the difference between “when buttons are pressed”, “Button clicked”, and “Button toggled”? They look like three ways of saying the same thing, though I guess they’re probably different.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-977684764667858073.post-25130851381455602602008-07-28T16:27:00.000+01:002008-07-28T16:27:00.000+01:00Am I right that the next gnome release (2.24) is a...Am I right that the next gnome release (2.24) is able to position the "sound in space" like Lennart described in his blog?

For example I close a window on the right side of my screen and then I will hear the sound from my right speaker. (Play sounds when buttons are pressed.)

It would be nice if someone could enlighten me.

Regards
AchimAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-977684764667858073.post-5614191250771859102008-07-28T10:52:00.000+01:002008-07-28T10:52:00.000+01:00Awesome!
