The thumbnail of a directory full of PDFs is the thumbnail of one of them. The very same for audio files. I would prefer a more kind approach and generate a thumbnail only in case of homogeneous content (like an album), keeping the standard folder icon in all the other cases.
If I were able to configure gnome-directory-thumbnailer to fit my needs, then I would be happy using it.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17051318701797907711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-977684764667858073.post-43762837475445899212013-12-10T10:20:25.616+00:002013-12-10T10:20:25.616+00:00Luca: Looks like a combination of the totem-video-...Luca: Looks like a combination of the totem-video-thumbnailer (which also handles MP3s, MP4s, etc. covers), and gnome-directory-thumbnailer would do what you're trying to achieve.Bastien Nocerahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14621847888418739807noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-977684764667858073.post-43894025000315465902013-12-10T10:13:08.331+00:002013-12-10T10:13:08.331+00:00Bastien, could you please elaborate a little more?...Bastien, could you please elaborate a little more?

My intention is to display the same thumbnail totem thumbnailer provides for the MP3s for the container folder (only if all the MP3s in the folder contain the same image).

Thank you!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17051318701797907711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-977684764667858073.post-52785679022320219352013-12-09T17:45:34.374+00:002013-12-09T17:45:34.374+00:00Luca: Glad it's of use though ID3 support shou...Luca: Glad it's of use though ID3 support shouldn't be strictly necessary, Totem's video thumbnailer already handles them!Bastien Nocerahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14621847888418739807noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-977684764667858073.post-68334859207446649652013-12-09T15:03:05.166+00:002013-12-09T15:03:05.166+00:00Hi, thanks for your gnome-thumbnailer-skeleton. Have to add support for embedded ID3 tag cover extraction.

https://github.com/lcavalli/gnome-album-thumbnailerUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17051318701797907711noreply@blogger.com
